Step into My Office...

...but be sure to duck your head! hehe

I don't know why this is so funny to me, but I love it.

OK, so the deal is that Bry has been working from home a lot these days. This is nice and it's wonderful to have him around. However, there are also some challenges involved with this setup. Well, really only one small, loud, insistent challenge named Poppy.

Our lower level room isn't an option for an office because it's missing something very important...a door to keep the daddy's girl and her associated noises out. And it seemed a shame to take the bed out of our guest room so we could fit a desk in there.

So, my resourceful husband came up with a solution. I was pretty skeptical at first, but I have to admit that it turned out to be a decent idea (as long as he can handle the claustrophobia).

Come on in for the tour...
Yes, it's a closet. And when I suggested to Bry that his chalkboard wasn't centered right, he told me that this was his room and he could do whatever he wanted with it. So I guess this is a literal man cave. Oh, and to further stake his claim, he put a dorky statue on his desk of Samwise Gamgee (Lord of the Rings) that his friend gave him as a gift for being in his wedding. I think he knew there was no way that was going anywhere else in the house.

Is it sad that he has to resort to a closet for self-expression...not to mention productivity?

Ha! Love this! It's funny picturing Brian climbing into that closet. :)

Mary Ann,

The closet is in our lower level room, under the first set of stairs.

Small houses encourage creativity.:)

We miss you and we'd love to come see you this summer...maybe with Kait and Sam or something.

Love,
Ash

Haha this is awesome! For the record...I converted one of the closets in my room at my parents into a closet during student teaching....the only sad part was I ended up doing almost all of my work at our kitchen table instead, so it was kind of a worthless conversion.....although kind of fun and cozy when I actually did use it. :)
