One of the best parts of having kids is watching their personalities come to life and falling in love with who they are. After only a half a year with Fife there's still much more to learn, but I think we're starting to pick out some traits here and there.
She seems to be intense but not in an outwardly energetic way...more like her mind is busy, she wants to figure things out and has strong opinions. She is sensitive and has high standards and nothing less (or different) will do. She is cautious around new people and does this funny thing where she'll keep looking back at my face when someone is talking to her...just checking to make sure I'm still there and everything is all right, I guess. She has a sense of humor and finds the girls pretty funny. And she still loves to be held, kissed, and cuddled as much as possible.
What Fife has been up to...
+ Hair getting longer and more fun with two swirly cowlicks in back and one in front+ Trying lots of new foods and loving it
+ Working on her first teeth, which has been quite upsetting
+ I'm definitely her favorite person right now...and I'm not saying that as a good thing
+ Sitting up, rolling and scooting her way around the room, and so close to crawling (also not necessarily a good thing)
+ Sleeping much better on her tummy during naps and often through the night
And speaking of funny hair, this photo with her hair blowing in the wind is pretty hilarious.
