Oh, and did I mention...

My sister Kait and I are due one day apart so we did a double gender reveal. We each picked out boy and girl outfits at the cutest shop downtown and the sales lady secretly wrapped up the right outfit after reading the gender that the ultrasound tech had written on a piece of paper and sealed in an envelope.

A few days later (we were so patient!) we opened the boxes at our family Thanksgiving. Kait is having a second boy and we are having a THIRD girl! I was surprised but am so, so happy. I have four sisters in my family and am right in the middle of two of them and I love sisters! I feel very lucky to be able to watch special, lifelong friendships form between these girls.

I do have to say that I felt some social pressure to have a boy this time, and I'm enough of a feminist that it annoyed me just a bit. But thankfully Bry is an amazing dad for girls and is completely OK if we never have a son. So maybe someday we'll experience a little boy in our lives, but for now we're very content and can't wait to meet our new daughter!

congrats! sisters are the best! I understand your emotions. I feel like people already say to me "would you have a third kid if you knew you could get a girl?" And I always think if we did have a third, I'd be completely happy to have a house full of boys. :)

LOVE this post. Congrats. I think there is something very special about 3 sisters (from what I've observed)
