I've debated whether our gym membership is worth it. It forces me to exercise some when I most likely wouldn't at all otherwise and they have great classes (Saturday morning yoga is the best!), but a lot of the time it's like this cloud of guilt hanging over me because I don't feel like I'm using it enough to justify the cost. It has also been the source of ongoing marital conflict because for some reason Bryan doesn't like it when I keep nagging him to go work out.
But then there was this summer when our family spent many a happy evening at the gym's pool after Bry got home from work. We'd pick up Chipotle or the amazing tamales from the mexican bakery across the street and eat out on the deck while Bry and I took turns going inside to work out. Fife loved being outside and Poppy started really swimming on her own. It was so relaxing. We pretended it was our back yard, the girls stayed up past their bedtimes, and we made some very good memories.
As the weather cools down I'm realizing summer is over and I'm really going to miss those poolside evenings.
