I can feel it. Family vacation is over, students are heading back to school, and Fall is most definitely on its way. There's a certain buzz to this time of year that I really like. It's just so fresh and new.
And speaking of new...have I mentioned that we moved?
We're only an hour north of where we were before, but that means a new town, a new church, a new ministry, and a new house. It's pretty cool how it all worked out...maybe I'll get into the details later.
The transition was surprisingly long and painful (thank goodness for family), but we
finally spent our very first night at the new house on Sunday, so I guess it's official now. Though everything is a mess and we're far from settled in.
And I should also clarify that it's actually not a new house at all. It's an old house. A very old house that needs a lot of love and attention. So that's what we've been busy with for the past few months (I kind of feel like I missed spring and summer this year). And I have a feeling that it will keep us busy for a very long time to come.
But that's all part of the adventure, right? And it also means there should be lots of fun before-and-after posts to come.
I am thankful, but I am also so ready for the "after" part.
